Hello sweet friends!
Let me start with a little bit about me...
I'm a child of God. Just a gal who lives in Northwest New Mexico and I love Jesus and I want let the world know all about him and the wonderful things he's done for us. My name is Julia Marie Dunlap and I am a devoted Christian disciple, a hopeful gospeler, an inspired evangelist, and an eager apologist. I am also a wife, a mother, and a grandmother who juggles daily life with end stage liver disease (stage 4 cirrhosis) and diabetes. I am honored and humbled to share the love of Jesus with each and everyone I cross paths with. I pray that everyone comes to know, love and have faith in Jesus. Scripture tells us, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6 KJV). Without Jesus, we are lost and without eternal life. I can't imagine not sharing the gospel of Jesus. To think of people who don't know Jesus or who may have never even heard his precious name breaks my heart.
I strive to spend 100% of my time living my cherished, but not always so simple calling as a hopeful gospeler, an inspired evangelist and aspiring apologist. I weave my faith and life experiences into my blog, "Of Good Courage". Through this platform, I share inspirational faith lifestyle stories, evangelize, and communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ to a global audience.
My mission is rooted in my profound belief in the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus. I am dedicated to ensuring everyone hears the good news of Jesus Christ and understands His crucifixion and the path He paved for the salvation of humanity. I love Jesus and without him, I am nothing.
I love to travel and meet new people. My journeys not only satiate my wanderlust, but also provide fresh perspectives and narratives for my blog, bringing real-world experiences to my online community.
I hope you'll find me to be a passionate humble love-filled down-to-earth gal. I have dedicated my life to doing whatever God calls me to do. I pray my life's work is testament to my conviction that faith and daily life can beautifully coexist and enrich each other.
As Jesus commanded us, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20 KJV), it is my purpose is to be a vessel to help others find the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.
Join me as I navigate the intersections of faith and modern life, sharing stories, insights, and the timeless message of Christ's love and redemption.
I'm convinced that God is the one who made everything and is in charge of it all. I believe in the Trinity, which is God as the Father, Jesus as His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Even though they have different roles, they're all one God and are equally important.
I'm certain that Jesus is God's Son and he lived an amazingly perfect life, setting an example of how we should live. He chose to give up his life by dying on a cross to make up for all our wrongdoings. But that wasn't the end! He did something extraordinary by coming back to life three days later, showing that he's more powerful than any mistake or even death itself. He then went back to Heaven and made a promise to return one day, and rule as our King.
I trust that when we decide to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us. The Holy Spirit's job is to help people see why they need Jesus in their life. He gives us strength, helps us make sense of spiritual stuff, and guides us to do the right thing. When someone starts believing in Jesus, the Holy Spirit gives them special spiritual gifts. As followers of Jesus, we aim to let the Holy Spirit guide us every day, leading the way in our lives.
I believe the Bible is the infallible word of God and it is our guide for truth and living as Christians.
I trust that we're all made in God's image and deep down, we all want to be more like Him. But being human means we mess up, we sin. Sin is when we don't listen to God and ignore what He asks us to do, which ends up pushing us away from Him. No matter how much we try to be better or do good things, it can't undo our mistakes. The only real way out of this mess is to put our full trust in Jesus and accept the gift of salvation that He offers. This means deciding to stop being so focused on ourselves, and instead, put our belief in Jesus - that's when we're saved. And the beautiful thing is, the moment we let Jesus into our lives and totally trust in Him, we start experiencing a life that will be eternal.
I'm sure that once we've invited Jesus into our lives, saying yes to Him as our Lord and Savior, the next step is to get baptized. It's like our big announcement that we've started a new life with Christ. We're following Jesus' example and what he commanded us to do.
Before I encountered Jesus, my life was filled with emptiness and confusion. I was searching for meaning and purpose but couldn't find it in the pursuits of this world. I felt lost and alone.
But then, everything changed when I encountered Jesus Christ. It was a moment of divine intervention, where His love and grace reached into my heart and transformed my life. I realized that He is the answer I had been searching for all along.
Since that moment, my life has been completely transformed. Jesus has given me a new perspective, filling me with joy, peace, and hope. He has healed my brokenness and restored my relationships. His teachings have become my guiding light, and His presence sustains me through every trial.
One of the key verses that has deeply impacted me is John 3:16, which says, 'For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' This verse reminds me of the incredible love and sacrifice Jesus made for us, and it fuels my desire to share this message of hope with others.
My faith in Jesus has shaped every aspect of my life. It has transformed my attitudes, influenced my decision-making, and deepened my relationships. Through Him, I have found purpose and fulfillment that I never thought possible.
I want to encourage everyone listening to consider their own relationship with Jesus. He offers forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life. If you're searching for meaning and purpose, turn to Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
In conclusion, I am a living testimony of the transformative power of Jesus Christ. He has brought light into my darkness, hope into my despair, and love into my life. I am forever grateful for His saving grace and the joy of knowing Him. My prayer is that you, too, may experience the same life-changing encounter with Jesus that I have.
